Elementary Coordinator  (FULL-TIME)

The Elementary Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for the needs of the Elementary Department. The Elementary Coordinator is directly responsible to the Children’s Pastor with ultimate accountability to the Senior Pastor.

The role of the Elementary Coordinator is to provide a safe, nurturing, and Christian learning environment from kindergarten to 5th Grade.

Essential Functions & Job Duties:

• Staffing and Recruiting Volunteers for Elementary:
– Supervise and assist volunteers
– Process and maintain up to date files on all Elementary volunteers
– Schedule orientation training with approved volunteers before placing in classroom.
– Schedule volunteers in Planning Center quarterly with teams working one quarter at a time.
– Form relationships with volunteers and regularly contact and/or meet with them for prayer requests or needs they may have.
– Observe and evaluate volunteers to note strengths and encourage and nurture in areas that need growth.
– Maintain confidentiality rules and guidelines.
– Participate in volunteer fellowships, trainings, and all C-Luv Kids events to include VBS, Summer Camp, and Christmas service.

Classroom Management:

• Ensure that all classrooms are safe.
– Regularly inspect classrooms for cleanliness.
– Regularly inspect classroom equipment for worn, broken, or otherwise unsafe parts and remove them from the classrooms.
– Provide necessary supplies weekly no later than 30 minutes prior to class starting to meet the needs of both teachers and students.
– Provide accident/incident forms in each classroom.

• Order Supplies and Equipment.
– Submit purchase orders for supplies needed to accompany the curriculum lesson for Sundays and Wednesdays.
– Submit purchase orders for supplies that are needed to keep the resource room stocked.

• Manage Curriculum
– Complete lesson plans and calendars for each volunteer for Sundays and Wednesdays.
– Inventory, order, and disburse curriculum, lesson plans, and calendars for Sundays and Wednesdays.

Job Requirements

1. Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone   techniques, computer skills and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

3. Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.

4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, volunteers, parents, and the general public; experience in personnel management and conflict resolution; task- oriented and growth-driven.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

The role of the Administrative Assistant is to assist with assigned and recurring tasks in any area as needed pertaining to the assigned ministry, while focusing primarily on providing secretarial and administrative support to the Pastor and ministry team to include daily tasks and special projects within the department. Currently, this is a part-time position, performing assigned tasks within the daily assigned hours at a fixed hourly pay rate.

The Administrative Assistant is directly responsible to the Pastoral Oversight with ultimate accountability to the Senior Pastor.

Essential Functions & Job Duties
General Office Support:

  • Receive and field incoming calls.
  • Scheduling & appointment reminders.
  • Submit Purchase Orders as needed.
  • Submit training information to Planning Center, as needed.
  • Manage calendars.
  • Perform general department clerical duties to include but not limited to typing, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Attend Staff Meetings, Staff Trainings, and weekly Staff Prayer.


Requirements

1. Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and   office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

3. Skill in taking and transcribing dictation, accurately and with reasonable speed, of a variety of materials, including statements, correspondence, reports, and other material.

4. Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.

5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, civic organizations, business professionals, and the general public.

6. Perform other related duties as assigned and required.
