Old Testament

Exodus 31:1-32:35: Look at Exodus 31:3: God has given everyone an ability to do certain things in life. We can use the gifting or ability to glorify God or to glorify ourselves. Never be jealous of another’s gifting. We all have something to contribute to the good of all. Your gifting and abilities are very important for the growth and advancement of the Kingdom of God (Romans 12:3-8; Ephesians 4:16)

Exodus 32 shows us how quickly people can influence us to make the wrong decisions (1 Corinthians 10:1-13). Don’t allow anything or anyone pull you into sin, it will cost you dearly!!!

Psalm 21:1-7: Kings flourish when they trust only in God. Don’t forget that you are a king under the Lordship of the King (Romans 5:17; 1 Timothy 6:15).

Proverbs 7:24-27: Adultery brings hell into the lives of those who partake (Proverbs 7:27).

New Testament

Matthew 25:31-46: These verses deal with those operating out of the love of God and those who only think of themselves, operating out of selfishness and self-ambition (Philippians 2:3). This is also a temptation for ministers (Philippians 1:15-17).
