Leviticus 19:1-20:27: God gives His people many instructions for every area of life. Leviticus 19:28 is the only place in the Bible where God gives instructions about tattoos. This was a pagan practice and God commanded the Israelites not to do it because God created the body in His image. In the New Testament, we are the temple of God and the Body of Christ. Tattooing has been a practice of the Hindu and Eastern religions dating back to the Old Testament days but it is still in practice today. It’s making a great resurgence all over the world. I’m not saying that if you have a tattoo you are living in disobedience to God. Jesus has saved us and delivered us from the curse of the law. But the Bible says that as a new creation, God writes His laws on the table of our hearts and minds (Hebrews 10:16-18). We are not under the law, but God has written His laws on our hearts (Hebrews 8:10).
If you had a tattoo when you got saved, you are okay with God because our spirit man was born again. I just say that it should be a matter of prayer if you are thinking about getting one because your body belongs to God.
He speaks many times about us being holy and how He has separated us from the world. He doesn’t mean we aren’t to witness to the world but we are not to engage in their practices because we are holy unto the Lord (2 Corinthians 6:11-7:1).
Psalm 27:4-10: The greatest thing to desire!!!!
Proverbs 10:10-12: Love is a cover!!!!
Mark 5:1-20: Love this story!!! The reason the devil was trying to stop Jesus and the disciples from crossing over to the other side was the deliverance of one of the devil’s prize possessions, the demon possessed man in the tombs. The demons are in unity. How much more should the Church of Jesus Christ be in unity. The man went from the tombs and demon possession to being a great evangelist!!! God has a great plan for all us to make a difference in the lives of those around us and in our local church.
