Old Testament
Exodus 27:1-28:43: Why the tabernacle of meeting? It was the place that God designed for worship and fellowship. It was the dwelling place, on earth, of the presence of God. Jesus came and He was the tabernacle of God!!! Read Hebrews 9:11; now, when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we become the tabernacle of God. We are the dwelling place of the presence of God. The Holy Spirit lives in us and God has made His home in us (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Aaron had holy garments made for him so he could minister to God as a priest. In the New Testament, we are a priest and king before God to minister to Him so that in turn we can minister to others (1 Peter 2:9).
In Exodus 28:41, Aaron was anointed, consecrated, and sanctified so he could minister unto the Lord; and so are you through the blood of Jesus.
