Old Testament

Genesis 1:1-2:25: In Genesis 1:1-3 we see how God handles everything by speaking faith filled words.

Notice in Genesis 1:2 that the Spirit of God was hovering but didn’t go into action until Genesis 1:3: “Then God said…”

God moves in your situations when you pray or declare His Word in faith!!! What are you speaking into your life today, faith or fear; faith or doubt; faith or unbelief?

God answers and moves by your faith and the devil answers and moves through your fear, doubt, and unbelief. (Hebrews 11:6; Romans 10:17)

Psalms

Psalm 1:1-6: Prerequisites for true prosperity

Proverbs

Proverbs 1:1-7: The fear (honor and respect) of the Lord is the beginning of all good things in my life. It simply means total obedience to His Word no matter what my feelings, or other people, are saying to me.

New Testament

Matthew 1:1-25: Mary: Sometimes obeying God’s word can make me look to other people like I have lost my mind. Misunderstanding and persecution can come because I obey God (1 Peter 4:12-16).  But, I will be blessed by God if I don’t give in and continue to obey.  Even if it is not popular with other people, it is popular with God!!!

Prayer

Father God, help and strengthen me to obey Your word in every area of my life today. Fill me to capacity with Your wisdom and knowledge for I honor and respect You. Therefore, I will walk in obedience and everything I put my hand to will prosper. When persecution comes because of my relationship with Jesus, I will stand strong in the power of Your Spirit and give You praise for bringing me through every situation. Let this new year of my life bring glory and honor to Your name. Protect, prosper, lead, guide and direct my steps, that Your will for my life may come to complete fruition, in Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.
