Genesis 19:1-20:18: Again, we learn from Lot’s mistakes. Lot chose to love the world more than loving God and it cost him greatly!!!! His whole family was dramatically affected by his decisions; eventually he lost his sons-in-law and wife. (1 John 2:15-17)
Genesis 19:14 is a very sad indictment concerning Lot; he lost his influence with his sons-in-law because of his compromise.
Genesis 19:29 tells us that Lot’s deliverance came because of Abraham’s intercession.
Always continue to pray for your lost loved ones, and for those who know Jesus but are not serving or living for Him. Examine yourself today; is your behavior, and the choices you make, influencing people to pursue godliness and holiness or to pursue the lifestyle of the world? (2 Corinthians 5:9-11, 7:1)
Proverbs 3:1-4: Obedience to God gives us long life, favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
Matthew 8:1-17: The leper represents the mindset of many Christians today. We know God has the power to heal us but we sometimes question whether He is willing to heal us. Look at the response of Jesus!!! Read 2 Corinthians 1:18-20 and Psalm 103:1-18.
Matthew 8:16-17 proves that healing is for us in the New Covenant; Jesus not only became sin for us but He took our infirmities and sicknesses so we could be healed!!!! (Psalm 107:20) The Word is Jesus. (John 1:1, 14)
