Genesis 33:1-34:31: After Jacob’s safe encounter with Esau, he built an altar and entitled it, “the mighty God of Israel.” After he sees and experiences the faithfulness of God, he becomes a man of daily prayer.
In chapter 34, we find one of Jacob’s daughters being sexually violated. Her brothers became very angry and sought revenge through deception and murder. What happened was an atrocious act but they should have allowed God to bring justice and vengeance. (Deuteronomy 32:35; Psalm 94:1-3; Isaiah 35:4, 59:17-18; Romans 12:19)
When someone has wronged or hurt you, it is not wrong to be angry but do not let the sun go down on your wrath (Ephesians 4:26-27). Go to God, bring everything to Him, and He will execute justice and avenge His children. Forgive and release all of it to Him; you will not be disappointed.
Psalm 9:1-5: God will maintain your right and cause!!! No one will be able to stop your destiny or the fulfillment of your dreams as long as you walk with God in obedience.
Matthew 12:1-21: Religion is always critical and judgmental. Look at what Jesus says about our value to Him!!!!
