You and I are where we are to be ambassadors for the kingdom of God, regardless of your vocation or profession. Just like Joseph, you are royalty in the kingdom of God (1 Peter 2:9) and you have been strategically placed by God for the people that you will come in contact with to be a witness in your actions, words, and behavior that will proclaim to them that God loves them and wants to save them!!!!!!
In Genesis 45:24, Joseph sends his brothers back home but tells them not be troubled along the way, a good thing to tell people after you have forgiven them. Because the devil will come after you have parted and try to put lies into his or her head. He will try to undo what has been done by your forgiveness, love, and obedience.
Psalm 12:1-8: Notice in Psalm 12:4 that even those who don’t serve God believe in the power of the tongue, which means the power of words!!!! The devil believes the power of confession!!! Look what he said before God kicked him out of heaven (Isaiah 14:12-14). He had no power in his words against God but God has given us the privilege to speak His Word which contains His power. (Hebrews 1:3; Mark 11:22-24; Ecclesiastes 8:4)
Proverbs 4:14-17: Stay on the path of the righteous and don’t stray from it. If you do, it can mean hurt and eventually failure.
Matthew 15:1-20: Look at Matthew 15:8 and let’s make sure that we don’t get into a routine of traditionally going to church. We sing and say, “Praise the Lord”, but our hearts are really somewhere else.
Come to church with expectation and anticipation that God is going to speak to your heart. Come ready to praise and worship Him with your whole heart, mind, and body. Focus on Him, not on your plans after church and you will be blessed. He knows your thoughts and your heart. You can fool me but you can’t fool God.
How do the things described by Jesus get into the heart? Read James 1:14-15.
That temptation is set up by the devil for you to fall and bring disgrace to the name of Jesus and the family of God. What action are you to take when this temptation comes? Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
