Old Testament

Genesis 49:1-50:26: Reading all the prophetic words spoken by Jacob to his sons, aren’t you glad that Jesus came from the tribe of Judah and we are His brothers and sisters?

Some of my favorite scriptures are recorded in Chapter 50:19-21. No matter what any person or persons do to you, God will eventually turn it into good so people can be saved!!!!!

Are you in the place of God? You may think, “this is a bad place; how can it be the place of God?” Right now, you may be in a bad place but don’t give up or give in because God is going to come through for you!!!!! Read Romans 8:26-28; Hebrews 10:23,32-39.

Psalms

Psalm 14:1-7: Psalm 14:1 proves to us that atheists have their own national holiday.  It is April 1 every year, April Fools Day!!!!

The Apostle Paul used this Psalm to describe society during his day and we still see it continue today (Romans 3:10-18). This is why we witness and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs

Proverbs 4:20-24: Why do you continue to read, meditate, and study God’s Word? Because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The words you speak are establishing your destiny. Do a check up from the neck up and see what issues are being released by your words. Don’t like what you see? Then change the software in your heart. Program it God’s way.

New Testament

Matthew 16:1-28: I love this chapter; the keys of the kingdom are given to us, sons and daughters!!!! You and I have been given the power of the kingdom of God.

In Matthew 16:21-23, Peter thinks only of himself, and therefore is subject to Satan’s deception. See the big picture concerning your place and position in the body of Christ. It not just about me but what I can do to advance God’s will in my home, marketplace, church, city, nation, and the world.

Matthew 16:26: Work with the right perspective of the heart. Get and understand your blessings from the kingdom viewpoint, not the world’s (1 John 2:15-17; 1 Timothy 6:6-10).

There is nothing wrong with money; it’s the love of it that turns us from God to the world. Money is a necessity but manage it well and your outlook towards it. Everything we have belongs to Him.
