Old Testament
Exodus 1:1-2:25: The children of Israel were afflicted by the people of the land but look at Exodus 1:12. Read Psalm 34:19. Even when you are greatly afflicted, God can still bless you; trust Him.
Moses tried to bring God’s deliverance by his own actions and timing. When we get ahead of God’s plan, it can cost us (Psalm 27:14; Psalm 37:34; Psalm 59:9).
Exodus 2:23-25: When we find ourselves in very difficult situations that bring us pain, remember we have a covenant with God because of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 8:6) and God never forgets His covenant to us. God always comes to our rescue when we pray according to His promises!!!!
Psalms
Psalm 15:1-5: If we abide by this word, we will never be moved (shaken or fall). Meditate on these verses; let them sink deep into your heart.
Proverbs
Proverbs 4:25-27: Always stop and think about your plans before you put them into action and seek God’s advice.
New Testament
Matthew 17:1-27: The disciples are seeking the answer of why they could not cast out a demon. They had already been commissioned by Jesus to cast out devils. Then why couldn’t they do it?
Matthew 17:20-21: Prayer and fasting produce great power. Little prayer = little power; much prayer = much power. It’s all in our priorities!!!
