This was a time that humanity was very corrupt (Genesis 6:5-6) but there was a man that loved God with all his heart. Amos 3:3 tells us that two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement, therefore, we see that Enoch was constantly making decisions and choices that were pleasing to God and in agreement with His will. This was the joy of Enoch’s life, his fulfillment and delight. I’m sure he was made fun of and ridiculed but it didn’t deter him from obeying God and living a godly life. While others were living for themselves and the world, he lived for God. He was in the minority but he didn’t let others influence him to compromise. The result was God took him to heaven before the flood that destroyed the whole world.
Proverbs 1:10-19: Say no to those who entice you to sin and disobey God; it has great benefits and dividends.
Father God help me today to obey You in all things. I thank You for your mighty grace that empowers me to be able to do the right things and make the correct choices so I will be in agreement with Your will, plan, and purpose for my life. I pray that my life will be pleasing to You in every way and that by obeying You, others will be influenced by my obedience. Help me Holy Spirit not to give into peer pressure or compromise my walk with God. Fill me to overflowing with Your wisdom and power so I can make a difference everywhere I go, in the name of Jesus I pray!!!! Amen.
