Old Testament

Genesis 7:1 – 8:22: The key to Noah’s deliverance is stated in Genesis 7:5. Noah was a man that feared (honored and respected) God and God blessed, protected, and delivered him in the time of great peril. (Hebrews 11:7)

God’s Word not only tells us of the wonderful blessings and promises that we have received through Jesus Christ but it also warns us about the things we should not do, and how we should live our lives, knowing the things that will come upon this world in the end. Therefore, we obey and prepare our lives, not only for ourselves, but also for those who need to hear the good news of the gospel (2 Corinthians 7:1). Let us examine our life today and make sure we are living to please our Lord. If not, repentance is vital for a life of peace and joy.

Genesis 8:22: Seedtime and harvest is a spoken reality given to us by God. If you don’t like what you are harvesting, then change your seed. If you’re not sowing, then don’t complain about your lack; change your attitude and your actions and watch God’s promise become a living reality in your life. (Galatians 6:7)

Psalms

Psalm 3:1-4

Proverbs

Proverbs 1:20-22

New Testament

Matthew 4:1-25: How did Jesus overcome every temptation of the devil? The Bible states, that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So what was Jesus’ heart filled with? The Word of God!!!! (Psalm 119:11) Hide the Word in your heart and when temptation arises, and it will, you will respond just like Jesus did!!!!

Prayer

Father God empower me today and help me to make the right choices in every area of my life. My desire is to please you and bring glory and honor to Your name. I ask for Your will to be done in my life and that You would deliver me from all temptation and evil. I ask that the Holy Spirit will lead me into all truth and fill me with Your wisdom so that everything I speak and do will glorify Jesus today. In Jesus name, Amen.
