Old Testament
Genesis 9:1 – 10:32: God puts a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise that He will never destroy the earth again by a flood. That promise can still be seen visibly today in the earth.
But the earth will be destroyed again. How will God do it? (2 Peter 3:1-13) Notice 2 Peter 3:11 instructs us how we should live as Christians until the return of the Lord!!!!!
Psalms
Psalm 3:5-8: Anyone can lie down, but can you sleep? Or do fear and anxiety keep you awake? These scriptures are a great prayer to pray before going to bed, knowing that God will sustain and protect you.
Proverbs
Proverbs 1:23-27: Notice the blessings of repentance
Proverbs 1:23: Fresh anointing and fresh revelation
Proverbs 1:24-27: Look at the results of rejecting and refusing God’s Word and having no repentance…scary.
If you sin, the Holy Spirit will bring conviction; make sure you quickly repent and turn back to the Lord.
New Testament
Matthew 5:1-26: Meditate on these scriptures as Jesus begins what is called the Sermon on the Mount.
