Numbers 3:1-4:49: Nadab and Abihu were anointed by God to carry out His will, plan, and purpose before God. But they made a decision to do their own thing instead of God’s and it cost them dearly. Someone else took their place to fulfill God’s will. We are privileged by God to be a part of His overall plan and purpose. If we turn away to do our own thing, then we could become disqualified. God will then get someone else to fulfill what we turned or walked away from, the very thing that was His plan for our life.
How do I walk in His will? Romans 12:1-2: and I pray, just like Jesus, Father God, not my will but Your will be done in my life today. Then I make choices and decisions based on His will; His Word is His will. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27)
Numbers 3:6-8 shows us that every local church needs a staff to fulfill all the everyday duties of God’s work. We are to disciple the members of the church to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16).
Psalm 30:1-7: His favor is for a lifetime but it is bestowed on us because of Jesus and is maintained by our choices of obedience.
Mark 8:1-21: The multitude was so hungry for the Word of God that they ate nothing for 3 days. Oh, that we would be so hungry for His Word and the move of His Spirit, that we would continue to set aside certain days for fasting.
