“And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.“ – Deuteronomy 8:2 ESV (emphasis added)
Many people do not have a plan for their life, or have never considered one. But a time of prayer and fasting can be a moment in our life to “Remember, Focus, and Pursue God’s Plan.”
One way to do this is to remember God’s plan for us to prosper and be in good health; even as our soul prospers (3 John 2). In order to enjoy good health, we should desire to eat what God designed us to eat. In God’s Plan (The Bible) it states that our body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). And we are commanded by God to glorify God in our body (1 Corinthians 6:12-20).
As a saint of God, our mission should be to please God in everything we do! To humble ourselves, surrender our plans, and allow God to reveal His plans for our lives. Ephesians 3:20 states that “God will do exceeding abundantly above ALL that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (emphasis added). Therefore, there is Holy Spirit Power in us to live out God’s plan of healthy eating and obedience to His commandments.
Say right now, out loud; “YES, I CAN EAT HEALTHY!’’ God’s plan was designed to make His people stronger, wiser, and attentive with drive to pursue! Always remembering His love and promises for our life are the key motivations to keep moving forward with His plan.
Let’s Remember, Focus, and Pursue God’s Plan!
