He Makes All Things New | Saturday, January 26, 2019

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:19 ESV
When a river flows over a dry place, it completely changes the terrain of what was once dry land. So much so that it would take a severe event, such as a drought, to change it back to dry ground.
When the Lord makes things new, it isn’t in the sense of Him simply brushing off those things that keep us from moving forward in life. He completely changes the landscape of who we are! He breaks the chains of our minds that keep us from perceiving truth. He tears down the walls that keep us from deeper relationship with Him. And He makes new our vision to accomplish His purpose for our lives.
As we draw near to the end of this fast, let us continue to commit ourselves to the Lord as He desires to do a new thing in us by turning what is tired, broken, and dry into rivers of life. He desires us to submit all that we are to be consecrated, renewed, and restored: complete change of terrain in our mind, body and spirit.
Let’s be refreshed in Him!!
